Vacancy Sales Engineer Detection Solutions
Will you join our team in Mijdrecht as a Sales Engineer?
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for your own sales territory and ensure profitable sales and revenue growth. With our leading detection systems, including ground penetrating radars, cable finders and GPS surveying equipment, you will target existing and potential customers at, among others, grid managers, utility companies, construction and earth-moving companies and contractors for accurate localisation and to prevent damage to underground infrastructure networks.
Besides focusing on your existing customer base, you eagerly look for opportunities to attract new customers and grow your territory. The key to success is increasing market share for new and existing products, meeting (or preferably exceeding) annual sales and profit margin targets and your aim that customers become repeat ambassadors.
Your work:
Develop sales rayon and achieve sales targets (70%)
- Selecting potential customers.
- Identifying customer needs.
- Follow up on leads and approach new prospects (cold acquisition).
- Provide solutions to customers by providing technical information and product demonstrations.
- Provide service to existing customers.
- Planning and executing customer activities (including demonstrations, meetings).
- Attending trade fairs.
Relationship management (10%)
- Primary point of contact for own customers.
- Recognising new business opportunities with existing customers.
- Building good relationships with potential customers, suppliers and industry organisations.
Commercial planning and territory management (10%)
- Draw up annual sales plan for the territory.
- Identify changing market needs that require a team approach or development efforts.
- Identify market trends and translate them into ideas for new products.
Administration (10%)
- Record communications and opportunities in the CRM system (CaseMaster).
- Report forecasts and sales funnel updates.
- Manage demo and loan equipment.
- Participating in sales meetings.
Your profile:
- You have a completed mbo 4 or hbo education in a technical or commercial direction.
- At least three years’ work experience in business development or sales in a related segment.
- A winner’s mentality.
- Good negotiator and sales closer.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; good command of Dutch and English (oral and written) is a must.
- Handy with computers and skilled in demonstrating software and hardware.
- Willing to travel within the Benelux (driving license B).

Our offer:
- An employment contract of 40 hours per week.
