Vacancy Support Engineer

At Geodirect, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your technical and communication skills. As a Support Engineer, you will help our clients get the most out of our advanced technologies.
What will you be doing?
No two days are the same! As a Support Engineer, you are the point of contact for our customers. You alternate technical support with hands-on training and think along about smart solutions. These are your main duties:
- Technical support: You are on standby for customers who have questions or encounter problems. Whether by phone or at the customer’s premises.
- Giving training courses: You provide hands-on training in Mijdrecht, Turnhout and on-site, teaching users how to get straight to work and get the most out of our measurement equipment and software.
- Coming up with solutions: Together with our sales team, you advise clients in the construction, infra and geo sectors on the best technology for their specific challenges.
- Creating manuals: You will develop comprehensible documentation and training materials that are in line with practice.
- Sharing knowledge: You translate technical terms into clear, practical applications that clients can take forward.
You are
Someone who effortlessly combines technology and communication. You are energetic, customer-oriented and have a proactive attitude. Furthermore, you bring:
- Background: At least a mbo-4 diploma in a technical field and at least two years’ work experience in a technical environment.
- Language skills: You speak and write fluent Dutch and English. French or German is a nice bonus!
- Affinity: Experience with measurement equipment such as GNSS, RTS or drones? Plus points!
- Software knowledge: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Pythagoras, ArcGIS or QGIS is useful.
- Qualities: You are analytically strong, customer-oriented, flexible and pay close attention to details.
