Come and join our team in Mijdrecht as a Sales Engineer

As Sales Engineer Agriculture Solutions, you will be responsible for selling our advanced agriculture technologies in the Benelux. You will focus on profitable sales and revenue growth with our industry-leading Stonex GNSS systems, VRS NEXT correction services and Wingtra and DJI Enterprise branded drones.

Stonex offers numerous precision positioning solutions that meet the needs of the agricultural sector. Thanks to the high accuracy of our receivers, we can guarantee excellent positioning quality for different types of operations. Our solutions consist of both hardware and software and are also adaptable to different types of machines, making it easy to tailor them to customer needs.

You will maintain existing customer relationships and actively seek new opportunities to expand your customer base. You also build a strong reseller network and maintain these valuable partners. Your ambition is to increase the market share for Stonex, VRS NEXT and our drone solutions in the Benelux, to exceed your annual sales and profit margin targets and to ensure that customers become repeat ambassadors of our products.

Your success depends on your ability to serve existing customers as well as convince new customers and resellers of the benefits of Stonex GNSS systems and Wingtra and DJI Enterprise’s advanced drones for precision agriculture. Are you ready to grow with us?

Your work:

Develop sales territory and achieve sales targets (70%)

  • Selecting potential customers.
  • Build and maintain a strong reseller network, including identifying potential resellers.
  • Identify customer needs.
  • Follow up on leads and approach new prospects (cold acquisition).
  • Provide solutions to customers by providing technical information and product demonstrations.
  • Support customers and resellers with necessary information and training.
  • Service existing customers and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute customer activities such as demonstrations and meetings and effectively communicate the benefits of our smart farming solutions.
  • Attend trade fairs.

Relationship management (10%).

  • Primary point of contact for customers and resellers.
  • Recognise new business opportunities with existing customers and resellers.
  • Building good relationships with potential customers, resellers, suppliers and industry organisations.

Commercial planning and management (10%)

  • Prepare annual sales plan for the sales territory.
  • Identify changing market needs that require a team approach or development efforts.
  • Identify market trends and translate them into ideas for new products and services.

Administration (10%)

  • Record communications and opportunities in the CRM system (CaseMaster).
  • Report forecasts and sales funnel updates.
  • Manage demo and loan equipment.
  • Participate in sales meetings.

Your profile:

  • You have a completed mbo 4 or hbo education in a technical or commercial direction.
  • At least three years’ work experience in business development or sales in a related segment.
  • A winner’s mentality.
  • Good negotiator and sales closer.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; good command of Dutch and English (oral and written) is a must.
  • Handy with computers and skilled in demonstrating software and hardware.
  • Willing to travel within the Benelux (driving license B).

Our offer:

  • An employment contract of 40 hours per week.
  • An employment contract for one year with the prospect of permanent employment.
  • Salary between €4,377 and €5,254 gross.

We train and support users to work optimally with our equipment and software for Surveying, processing, visualising and sharing geo-information.
